Why I built
True Progress.
I wanted a clearer answer to a familiar question: is what I’m doing working?
My father’s work gave me a different view.
My late father spent around 40 years working in statistics and quality control. He developed desktop software to identify meaningful changes in a manufacturing process.
Years later, I used that software during the Goodlife 12 Week Challenge. For me, it created a feedback loop: I could see when to step things up, and when to relax and keep doing what was working. I went on to win the challenge and appeared on the September 2016 cover of Australian Men’s Fitness.
As a software engineer, I wanted to bring that insight to the device I carried every day. That idea became True Progress.

A feedback loop I could use every day.
I could record a weigh-in, look at the direction, make a decision about my routine and come back to see how the pattern developed. A higher reading did not always mean I needed to change something. Seeing that helped me relax; noticing a changing trend helped me refocus.
A tool to help you understand your readings.
True Progress shows trends, changes and an estimated goal date. It supports the routine you choose; it does not prescribe a diet or an exercise programme.
The idea is to make patterns easier to understand. This app offers general wellness insights, not medical diagnosis or treatment.
